Sports Day

Dear Parent/Guardian
The following is a reminder that Sports Day will be held this Saturday, May 9th from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. We welcome parents and guardians to join us to watch their children participate in this exciting event.

•Sports Day will take place on the campus adjacent to our school.
•Students need to arrive at the school by 8:30 am.
•The school bus service will be available for students only to and from the event. The bus monitor will notify you concerning the time of your student’s pick-up.
•In anticipation of hot, sunny weather (fingers crossed!) please ensure that your child brings a water bottle and wears comfortable athletic shoes.
•Boys are to wear their white polo shirt, blue shorts and hat.
•Girls are to wear their white polo shirt, skirt and hat for the opening ceremony and change into their shorts for the sporting events.

•If you wish your child to wear sunscreen, please ensure that it is applied before they come to school.

Parent Participation:
We are asking parents to participate in the fun on Sports Day. We will be playing a Game called “Running Man”.This game is from a famous Korean TV show that shares the same name. Two teams of adults are required to compete against each other and will need to peel off the name tag on the back of the opponents from the challenging team. When all the members of one team have their name tags peeled off the other team wins. We need 6 male parent volunteers and 6 female parent volunteers. Please contact our office at 010-8049-0230 to register for the game. The first 12 parents who call will be able to participate.

Since our Sports Day will be held at the field next to our school, the children will report to their homeroom teacher at the gate near the entrance of the school. From the entrance gate the students will line upper class and parade to the middle of the field for their class performances.Students will enter the field in their perspective classes. You are welcome to watch your child from the grandstands. To ensure the children’s safety, it is imperative to remember that under no circumstances can they leave the playing field. You will be able to collect your child at 12:00 pm.

We look forward to seeing you at SIBS annual Sports Day to support the children as they participate in this fun enjoyable event.

Best Regards,
